 Day 1 – Cape Town → Inverdoorn Game Reserve

Your safari adventure begins with a morning departure from your Cape Town hotel or guesthouse, travelling through the scenic wine region, the Ceres Valley, and the landscapes of the Klein Karoo, one of the Western Cape’s most important fruit-growing regions. After approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, you will arrive at Inverdoorn Game Reserve, where you will be welcomed with refreshing drinks followed by a delicious lunch served under the shade of trees or in the boma-style restaurant.

After lunch, enjoy some time at leisure to relax and take advantage of the lodge facilities, including the outdoor pool, garden areas, and communal guest spaces. Later in the afternoon, tea is served before departing on your first open-top 4x4 game drive with an experienced ranger. During the drive, you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife across the reserve and experience a memorable bush sunset among big cats and other animals.

A cheetah run viewing experience and a cheetah educational tour providing insight into the reserve’s conservation and rehabilitation programme are included during your stay. In the evening, return to the lodge for a five-course dinner before spending the night in your Tankwa Chalet accommodation within the reserve.

‌Day 2 – Inverdoorn Game Reserve → Cape Town

Start your morning with a full breakfast before enjoying additional time at leisure in the peaceful surroundings of the reserve. Later in the morning, depart on another open-top 4x4 game drive, offering further opportunities to spot wildlife and bird species across the reserve.

Depending on timing and at the discretion of the ranger, you may also have the opportunity to walk with giraffes (optional and subject to availability).

Lunch is served at the lodge before beginning the return journey to Cape Town in the afternoon via the Huguenot Tunnel, marking the end of your 2-day safari experience.
