- Take care when partaking in adventure sports, and follow your guide’s instructions at all times to ensure that you stay safe.
- Do not attempt to explore the Cango Caves alone – while the cave systems may seem simple, some of them are very complex and getting lost or injured is not impossible.
- Be careful when approaching wild animals that you may encounter at the cheetah park or crocodile farm and follow instructions from the guides at these parks.
- While the Garden Route is general safe and free of serious crime, petty crime can sometimes occur – keep valuables safely locked up and do not leave any items in your car during activities and excursions.
- Remember that the sun beats down hard in the Cape, so sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are essential items for all tours in Cape Town and surrounds.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Oudtshoorn
Depart from your hotel in Cape Town and travel through the scenic Robertson wine region. Enjoy a wine tasting in the Robertson area, known for its rich vineyards. Continue the journey to Oudtshoorn, famous for its ostrich farms. Visit one of the local ostrich farms to learn about the ostrich industry. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay in Oudtshoorn.
Day 2: Oudtshoorn / Knysna
After breakfast, explore the charming town of Oudtshoorn, home to South Africa’s ostrich farming industry and the world-famous Cango Caves. Discover the stunning Cango Caves with their remarkable limestone formations. If desired, visit the Elephant Park for an up-close encounter with elephants (optional). Later, travel to Knysna, situated between lush forests and a serene lagoon, offering a wide range of activities and attractions. Enjoy a dinner and overnight stay in Knysna.
Day 3: Tsitsikamma / Plettenberg Bay
Begin your day by traveling to Tsitsikamma, a region known for its vast indigenous forests, deep river gorges, and breathtaking coastlines. Visit Nature's Valley, a peaceful area surrounded by natural beauty. You can also visit Monkeyland and Birds of Eden (optional) for a chance to observe diverse wildlife. Continue your journey to Plettenberg Bay, and explore its scenic beauty and attractions. Later, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Port Elizabeth.
Day 4: Port Elizabeth
Port Elizabeth, also known as the "Friendly City," marks the end of the Garden Route. Enjoy a city tour to discover its key attractions, including a visit to the Dunkin Memorial, which commemorates the area’s history. After the tour, your journey concludes with a drop-off at Port Elizabeth at 11:00 AM.
