Durban Orientation Tour 

Get a glimpse of Durban on an orientation tour. Lying along the azure Indian Ocean coastline where Portuguese explorers first landed in 1497, the city of Durban is a vibrant mix of seaside charm, cosmopolitan living, diverse cultures, and thriving industry. Holding pride of place is the Golden Mile, the city’s famous beachfront promenade where you can walk the length of Durban’s beaches while stopping at sidewalk restaurants, boutique shops and ethnic markets. The pulse of the city starts at the Port that also plays an integral role in the country’s economy. Handling the largest volume of sea-going traffic in southern Africa, it is ideally placed on major shipping routes with excellent rail and road links. Durban also holds much Indian heritage and the largest mosque in Africa, as well as being awash with aromatic spice markets and many opportunities to buy well priced souvenirs.

Durban Botanical Gardens

‌These fascinating gardens are the oldest on the African continent and display a selection of both indigenous and exotic plant collections from the sub- tropics. There is also a unique selection of trees from all over the globe with many of them over 100 years old.  The main collections consist of cycads and palms, both threatened species, as well as orchids and bromeliads.  There are many different areas to explore in this large garden and visitors can choose to stroll through the indigenous forest, Japanese garden, herb garden, garden of senses and more.  Marvel at the beauty of the over 8 000 orchid plants that bloom in a riot of colours or explore the oldest cycad collection in the world.  A tea garden is available for a refreshment break.

uShaka Marine World

Visit uShaka Marine World. It incorporates a unique shipwreck-themed aquarium (one of the 5 largest aquariums in the world), the biggest dolphinarium in Africa, a seal pool and penguin rookery - and interactive activities in the dive tank, snorkel reef and touch pool. Explore the life size 1920`s era cargo steamer run aground between rocks and lagoons - the centerpiece of uShaka Marine World. Wind your way below deck and explore this old ship. Come nose to snout with a star of "Jaws" in the wreckage of the ship. See one of the largest collections of sharks in the southern hemisphere.

Indian Market 

Durban’s famed Victoria Street Market offers a uniquely South African experience, filled with rich culture, great bargains and a strong Indian influence. From African to Oriental, the eclectic mix of flare is tempting, enticing local and international shoppers alike to purchase anything from knick knacks to spice and souvenirs. The market has a semblance of a Maharajah's palace where men in traditional kurtas and women in saris sell their wares at this extensive bazaar. Browse through traditional African herbs and medicines, feel the silky textures of a myriad of fabrics and fill your basket with some exotic seasonings to take home at this culturally infused and good value-for-money market.
